Job Opportunity: Theatre Set-Up Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist with theatre setup operations.


About the Role:
  • Ensure consumable stock is rotated and date checked, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Complete case setups of instrumentation and consumables for upcoming operating lists, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Complete emergency and add-on case set ups as per bookings, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Collaborate with CSSD staff to put away sterile stock, promoting a safe and organized environment.
  • Assist scrub nurses in maintaining updates of surgeon preference cards, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Respond promptly to calls from theatres to retrieve sterile stock, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
  • Monitor and record temperatures in sterile stock storage rooms, guaranteeing a stable environment.
  • Escalate consumable shortages to theatre stores officer and theatre NUM's or PM coordinator as required, showcasing proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Liaise with PM coordinator to assist afternoon shift nursing staff with restocking and cleaning, fostering a culture of teamwork and support.
  • Upon completion of lists, put away all leftover instrumentation and consumables, maintaining a tidy workspace.

Requirements:
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, prioritising the well-being of patients and staff.
