About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Estimator to join our team at Simonds Homes. As a Sales Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and timely sales estimates for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates: Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for tenders, variations, and contracts within client-agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain Client Focus: Maintain a strong focus on client needs, expectations, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate and consult with the sales, operations, and construction teams to deliver exceptional customer service across all aspects of the home build.
Accountabilities
  • Provide Accurate Pricing: Provide accurate pricing for contracts and variations, including appropriate margin considerations.
  • Analyze Project Documentation: Analyze project documentation to determine if all elements are included.
  • Obtain Quotes and Pricing: Obtain relevant quotes and pricing for non-standard variations.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the process and identify potential areas of risk in the project.
  • Offer Technical Support: Offer technical support to team members and sales staff.
  • Maintain Organized Files: Maintain organized files and appropriate documentation of completed work.
Requirements
  • Residential Building Industry Experience: Possess experience in the residential building industry, specifically in sales estimating.
  • Tertiary/TAFE Qualification: Hold a tertiary or TAFE qualification in estimating.
  • Knowledge of National Construction Code: Possess knowledge of the National Construction Code.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Be able to actively contribute and work collaboratively within a tight-knit team.
  • Multi-Tasking and Adaptability: Possess the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines, achieve set targets, and KPIs.
