SMP Estimator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SMP Estimator to join our team at Macro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing estimation and reviewing contracts for various large projects across NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate estimation.
• Develop and review estimates to ensure they meet client requirements.
• Convert enquiries into sales by building strong relationships with clients.
• Negotiate project agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Meet with project managers, engineers, and vendors to discuss project details.
• Estimate costs using specialized software to ensure accuracy.
• Negotiate rates with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Review and update cost estimates to reflect changes in project scope.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress.
• Summarize progress and prepare for the next day to ensure seamless project delivery.

With over 36 years of experience, they have provided first-class fabrication, major project, and resource provision services to the petrochemical, rail, road, gas, process, mining, and heavy industry sectors across Australia.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the SMP Estimation industry.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field.
• Strong work history, with a proven track record of winning projects and building business relationships.
• Well-established industry networks and contacts throughout the plant construction or similar industry.
• A proven ability to develop business relationships with decision-makers.
• Great written and communication skills.
