Your Impact

The primary goal of this role is to deliver high-quality, technically defensible dams engineering services to clients in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). To achieve this, you will be responsible for writing proposals, winning, and leading complex and smaller dams engineering projects, as well as collaborating with other disciplines on projects led by other disciplines.

You will have experience in leading analysis, design, and reporting for various geotechnical projects in accordance with relevant Authority Standards/Australian Standards relating to:

  • Dam and embankment inspections and reporting, compliant with ANCOLD guidelines
  • Analysis of instrumentation related to dams and interpretation of results in relation to dam safety
  • Dam and embankment stability analyses
  • Seismic and static liquefaction analyses
  • Foundation analyses and design
  • Geotechnical test data interpretation
  • Technical report writing

What You'll Need

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A degree in Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex hydrology and catchment modelling projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technical disciplines within Jacobs
  • Liaison with clients, stakeholders, and regulators to support technical delivery
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior team members to build a high-performing team
  • Presentation of information to stakeholders in meetings
  • Authoring complex assessments/reports
  • Undertaking quality assurance processes, including technical review of project deliverables

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits such as professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and a supportive team environment.
