About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Operator Recreation Facilities Attendant. As a key member of our parks and gardens maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our public spaces, ensuring they remain safe, inviting, and enjoyable for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate assigned plant and equipment effectively, safely, and in accordance with standing operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Council's WHS policies and legislative requirements or regulations.
  • Perform general mowing maintenance operational works required to maintain Council's parks and reserves, including the operation of mowers, small plant, and hand tools.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete work programs in accordance with agreed timeframes and standards.
  • Apply WHS and risk management systems in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately and in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain required qualifications essential for the position and undertake agreed training to meet the position's desired skill level.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.
Key Requirements
  • An appropriate Cert 3 qualification or willingness to undertake professional development, or 3 years' experience in a relevant field.
  • Driver's license HR.
  • WHS Construction Induction Certificate.
