**Job Title:** Devops Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing our Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, containerised applications, and cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers, QA specialists, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless application deployment and consistent environment performance across development, staging, and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters using Rancher in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Rancher, Kubernetes nodes, workloads, and networking
  • Maintain high availability and fault tolerance of Rancher-managed clusters
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, or similar
  • Automate deployment workflows for microservices and containerized applications
  • Version control all infrastructure-related code and promote GitOps methodologies
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
  • Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure secure deployments and infrastructure hardening
  • Manage secrets using tools like HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Kubernetes Secret
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Rancher RKE2 or K3s for lightweight or edge cluster management
  • Proficient with Kubernetes architecture, Helm, ingress controllers, and service meshes
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and containerization
Desirable Skills

The following skills would be beneficial but are not essential:

  • Familiarity with SUSE NeuVector for container runtime security and network policy enforcement
