Community Engagement Coordinator

Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) provides services and programs to Command across all three services – Army, Navy and Air Force. We coordinate events face to face and virtual, covering a wide geographical area, including pre-deployment events, welcome home events, and other core events.
The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Community Engagement Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Rockingham, Western Australia. As a key member of the Defence Members and Family Support team, you will play a vital role in helping Defence families connect and engage with their wider community and families.
- You will be responsible for engaging with Defence families, key stakeholders, and the wider community, building strong relationships and promoting networking opportunities.
- You will organise and facilitate social functions to promote Defence family events and foster connections within the community.
- You will utilise your creativity to promote and deliver DMFS programs and events, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
- You will provide information and advice about local community resources and services, supporting Defence families in need.
- You will participate in Command and Unit facilitated events and functions for families, contributing to the success of these initiatives.
- You will build knowledge of community services and engage with service providers to inform them of the needs of Defence families.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and event planning skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. You will be a team player with strong organisational skills, able to prioritise workload and demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality.

BenefitsAs a Community Engagement Coordinator with DMFS, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $76,277 - $83,274 (pro-rata for part-time vacancies) + up to 15.4% Superannuation.
