About the Role

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Officer to join one of our clients within the maritime industry. This full-time role is a temporary assignment lasting up to 8 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and develop various projects related to environmental sustainability and conservation.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of bio fuels trials, including reviewing and analyzing data.
  • Conduct electricity and fuel efficiency audits to identify opportunities for transitioning to low-emission or electric vehicles.
  • Research and provide advice on carbon emissions offset strategies, including identifying and evaluating potential projects.
  • Support the electrical branch in planning and delivering photo-voltaic projects, including managing budgets and schedules.
  • Collect and report on program and project data, including monitoring and evaluating progress.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements, goals, scopes, and deliverables are clear and agreed upon.
Requirements
  • Qualifications or experience in project management, environmental sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience in preparing business cases and/or project justifications, including developing and implementing project plans.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders within a multidisciplinary or cross-functional environment, including managing relationships and communicating effectively.
  • The ability to multitask while delivering a diverse program of works/projects, including prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong research skills related to project issues, including analyzing data and identifying solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities, including developing and delivering presentations.
