Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to provide evidence-based support for the well-being and personal growth of students in our dynamic educational community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychological services to K-12 students, including assessments and strategies for learning, behavioural, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement student learning and well-being plans.
  • Design and deliver engaging workshops or presentations on mental health and resilience.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention when needed, prioritizing student safety and well-being.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centred school culture.
Essential Qualifications
  • APAC-accredited postgraduate qualification in psychology, meeting registration requirements as a psychologist in Australia.
  • Recognised qualification in Counselling, meeting membership requirements of the Australian Counselling Association.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health challenges, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work across two campuses as required.
  • Committed Christian, active in your church and subscribing to our College's Confession of Faith.
