Job Title: Principal Road Designer

Join our team to apply for this challenging role at a leading infrastructure consultancy. We are seeking an experienced Principal Road Designer to be part of major infrastructure projects supporting our national civil infrastructure business units.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Road Designer to manage, plan, resource and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines. The successful candidate will identify, communicate and optioneer with the team to resolve technical road design issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed deadlines.
  • Identify, communicate and optioneer with the team to resolve technical road design issues.
  • Lead a road design project team, including coaching and development of capabilities.
  • Assist the Project Manager in determining the resources required for a project plan.
  • Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise.

Requirements:

  • Degree or qualification relevant to Civil Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads.
  • Significant years of experience in a project delivery environment.
  • Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying other state based standards is desirable.
