Academic Leadership Role

This prestigious position will play a key role in advancing outstanding nursing education and research at national and international level.

As the Professor and Discipline Lead, Nursing, you will lead the development, delivery, and enhancement of high-quality nursing education for the Faculty.

You will also foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of UNSW through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing, ensuring alignment with national priorities, workforce needs, and UNSW's Progress for All strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, delivery, and enhancement of high-quality nursing education for the Faculty.
  • Foster strong research partnerships and advance the reputation of UNSW through interdisciplinary research in health systems and nursing.
  • Ensure alignment with national priorities, workforce needs, and UNSW's Progress for All strategy.

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Nursing or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of academic excellence in nursing education and research, with a national/international profile.
  • Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Experience with curriculum accreditation and alignment with NMBA and TEQSA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
