Electrical Engineer Position

This is a senior electrical engineer role for an experienced professional to lead electrical design projects and contribute to the success of our engineering team. The successful candidate will have expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation, with strong client relationship management and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects across various sectors.
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation.
  • 5-8 years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.).
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous).
  • Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
