Job Title

A seasoned procurement professional is required to spearhead key initiatives, drive value, and improve relationships with existing suppliers.

This role will involve driving and executing strategic procurement projects, working closely with the Head of Procurement. The business seeks a highly capable and experienced procurement specialist to deliver on key frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and report product/ordering/spend data through Power BI, Pronto Thin Client (ERP System), and Microsoft Excel for stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improved relationships with existing suppliers and service providers.
  • Act as a senior member of the procurement function, engaging confidently across the business.
  • Comprehensively review and benchmark current and potential suppliers to ensure cost savings and optimal procurement value.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes using industry best practices and tools.
  • Foster high-quality relationships with internal stakeholders and end-users by understanding their requirements and providing guidance on buying and procurement decisions.
  • Analysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks, and procurement activities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Track, assess, and report on contract milestones, performance metrics, outcomes, and general contract management tasks.
  • Develop effective sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in leading procurement processes through effective management and/or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value.
  • A consultative approach to managing and driving tangible change.
  • Proven experience in a mining environment (preferably with a contractor background).
  • Strong exposure to ERP (Pronto), EDI (Electronic Data Interface), and PowerBI.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills with a range of suppliers and stakeholders.
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in an environment with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
