About the Role

As a key member of our organisation, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and positive environment, leading a talented group of mechanical professionals. You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical team, providing leadership and direction, and ensuring planned tasks are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the mechanical team and provide guidance and support.
  • E nsure planned tasks are completed within specified timeframes and budgets.
  • Implement strategies to move from a reactive to a proactive environment.
  • IDentify areas of process improvement and champion these improvements throughout the team.
  • Review and improve the maintenance strategy based on plant performance and breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • Qualified trade or exceptional mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Systems experience in SAP is beneficial.
  • Experience in reliability-based maintenance work.
  • Exceptional time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Courage to challenge the status-quo and drive mechanical reliability improvements.
