About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Calvary Care. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of our residents are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Residents' Independence: Assist residents to live the life they choose, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
  • Contribute to Care Planning: Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Deliver Personal Care Services: Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting residents' independence.
  • Engage with Residents: Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their needs, preferences, and goals.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support: Hold a recognized qualification in individual support or a related field.
  • Experience in Dementia Support: Possess experience in supporting individuals with dementia, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be able to prioritize tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Commitment to Quality Care: Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care, prioritizing residents' needs and well-being.
