Strategic Risk Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- We provide control testing education, advice, and training to first-line risk teams and the broader organization.
- We develop and execute controls assurance plans across our critical operations.
- We provide advice and support for the identification of risks, controls, obligations, business, and regulatory change on critical operations.
- We facilitate risk and control assessment workshops.
- We support the annual critical operations assurance attestation and reporting process to group executives and the board.
- We support the implementation of business continuity and resilience practices.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or experience in Risk and/or Compliance within the financial services industry.
- Leadership experience to make informed decisions, set priorities, and provide direction to business leaders and teams.
- A thorough understanding of Control Testing and Assurance, frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business continuity management, operational resilience, and familiarity with business continuity standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business process architecture principles and practices and how risk is managed on processes.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the integrity of our critical operations. It requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of control testing and assurance, and the ability to drive positive change within the organization.
