Lead Risk Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Risk Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in internal audit or assurance functions and be able to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of our risk management, controls and governance processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and staff across all divisions of the organization, maintaining independence as part of the corporate governance role. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of audit strategies and procedures, ensuring that audits are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes
  • Conduct audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing risk management and control frameworks
  • Develop and implement audit strategies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective auditing
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior management and staff across all divisions of the organization
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and the Board Audit Committee

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in an internal audit or assurance function
  • Certified Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualifications, or other relevant audit qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
