Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing control testing activities in line with the automated controls assurance framework.

You will assist the RBS Line 1 Risk teams embed effective controls within the RBS business unit by providing robust feedback where required and recommending appropriate enhancements.

Your role will involve:

  • Responsible for data quality in various databases across the CCO and RBS BU/SU risk profiles and monthly management reporting.
  • Supporting RBS by providing a comprehensive and integrated risk service, enabling RBS to meet its business outcomes.
  • Identifying, leading, and managing continuous improvement of the business control environment using data to generate insights, recommendations, and support implementation of new initiatives.
  • Supporting RBS in optimizing their assurance activities through the implementation of continuous assurance (monitoring), automated assurance, and tooling platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Operational Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks including Control design experience.
  • The ability to analyze/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experienced in auditing Automated / Semi Automated Business Process Controls or IT controls with a strong knowledge of areas such as IT security, Software development, Application controls, and Identity and access management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to think critically and analytically and use data-driven insights to solve problems.
  • Business commercial aptitude and knowledge.
  • Desirable: SQL and Tableau skills.
