Miles State School seeks a dedicated Cleaner to work in its team of three. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to make a difference in a welcoming school community.

This role offers a tree change and a rewarding experience in a supportive, friendly environment. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the school premises.

The desired hours are as follows: 5 hours each day, commencing at 5:00 am to 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

  • Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
  • Sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
  • Maintaining equipment.
  • Controlling cobwebs and mildew, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
  • Cleaning concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
  • Disposing of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
