Job Title: Catering Assistant

We are seeking Casual Catering Assistants to join our team at an aged care site in Willagee. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working in kitchens, serving customers and maintaining high standards of food safety.

The Role

As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will assist with food preparation, customer service, restocking and cleaning duties. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, preparing and presenting texture modified foods and assisting with meal periods.

  • Assist with food preparation, including meal planning and cooking
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met
  • Restock and re-supply ingredients as required
  • Perform dishwashing and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety practices at all times
  • Prepare and present texture modified foods according to our recipes and guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Pride in personal appearance and hygiene
  • Valid driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
