Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and logistics operations of our company.
Key Responsibilities:- Communicate with freight forwarders or customers to determine container loading status and arrival dates
- Assign containers that have arrived at the facility, scheduling personnel to unload goods and store them according to weight, quantity, and shipping time
- Receive orders and bookings, plan and implement transportation schedules, and dispatch vehicles as needed
- Oversee daily vehicle maintenance, conduct inspections to ensure roadworthiness, and assign repair duties
- Monitor driver qualifications, inspect loads, and prevent overloading
- Maintain accurate records for each vehicle and cargo transported
- Ensure correct documentation is used for deliveries and maintain communication with customers
- Oversee use of casual/agency staff and assist Administration and Operations Staff where required
- Diploma or above (may be substituted with three years of relevant experience)
- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving skills
- Verbal and written Mandarin and English language skills
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and under pressure
