Senior High Voltage System Specialist

PHE is seeking a highly skilled Senior High Voltage Technician to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity.

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of High Voltage and play a pivotal part in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electrical systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding the safety and reliability of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of HV Technicians to achieve exceptional results and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Install, inspect, and maintain high voltage electrical equipment and systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in high voltage systems and components, applying your knowledge and skills to resolve complex problems efficiently.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance to prevent system failures and ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement high voltage system upgrades and modifications, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Follow established safety protocols and adhere to industry standards for high voltage work, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
• Document all work performed, including maintenance reports and equipment logs, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, fostering their growth and development within the company.

• A proven track record in working with high voltage electrical systems, showcasing your ability to navigate complex systems and resolve issues effectively.
• Experience leading a team, with a strong focus on collaboration, communication, and motivating team members to achieve exceptional results.
• A solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations pertaining to high voltage work, with a commitment to adhering to industry standards and company policies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to think critically and outside the box.
• The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities as needed.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.

Credentials:

• Australian Trade Certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech.
• Electrical License.
• High Voltage Switching Cert (desirable but not essential).
• Current CPR/LVR (within the last 9 months).
• Current Unrestricted C Class Driver's License.
• White / Blue Construction Card.
