Job Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and motivated personnel to fill the role of a Blast Crew member in our organization.

Key responsibilities will include dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns to achieve daily loading and blasting objectives safely and efficiently.

  • Primary Tasks:
  • Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns
  • Ensure safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives in accordance with statutory requirements and company protocols
  • Operate ancillary equipment such as stemming loaders
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in coal or quarry mining environments
  • Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain it
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Experience working in open-cut mining settings
  • Desirable skills: RIIBLA201E - Support Shotfiring Operations
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, along with a commitment to safety
  • Physical fitness to perform demanding work tasks
