Advanced Logistics Coordinator

At a dynamic logistics firm, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Transport Planning Assistant to join our operations team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for ensuring that planned routes are executed in a timely manner, meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate transportation plans to meet customer demands, collaborating with the operations team, customers, and hauliers to ensure seamless logistics.
- Effectively communicate with drivers throughout the day, monitor progress, and address any issues during shifts.
- Maintain accurate transport and sub-contractor logs, providing crucial data for performance improvement.
- Book out-of-area or hazardous jobs onto the pallet network/Hazchem portals, leveraging your knowledge of UK road networks.
- Provide quotes internally and externally via calls and emails, utilizing your expertise to deliver excellent customer service.
- Offer holiday cover for planners and act as lead planner during periods of annual leave throughout the year.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced transport environment.
- Understanding of drivers' working hours and driving time regulations.
- Good geographical knowledge of UK road networks.
