Healthy Places Manager Role

The Healthy Places team takes a unique approach to optimising the health of the population by embedding health as a priority in public decision-making.

This role entails leading healthy planning and placemaking initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with built environment practitioners, coordinating responses to strategic planning documents, and supporting business processes in Population Health.

About the Team:

This team looks after formal partnerships with several local councils and is instrumental in building and maintaining these relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities:

This role contributes to the implementation of the relevant strategic directions including the Healthy Environments Strategy for south western Sydney focussed on creating healthier built and natural environments.

You will work within the Population Health Collaboration Unit providing leadership and planning expertise to co-design programs that create places that keep people healthy in south western Sydney.

This position could suit a person from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds including health promotion, social science, urban planning, environmental health, or similar.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as health promotion, social science, urban planning, environmental health, or similar
