Renewable Energy Project Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Lead to oversee environmental approvals for major renewable energy and infrastructure projects across NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the assessment and approval process for SSD/SSI and EPBC projects
- Lead the preparation and submission of EIS/DA documents
- Coordinate biodiversity and cultural heritage assessments
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategic planning initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in environmental planning, ecology, or impact assessment
- Demonstrated track record of delivering full EIS/DA submissions for large-scale projects
- Strong understanding of BAM, EPBC, FFG Act, LEP, SEPP, and SSD/SSI pathways
- Experience interpreting ecological data and identifying environmental risks
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Ecology, Engineering, or Planning
Bonus Skills
- Ecology fieldwork or biodiversity offsetting expertise
- Collaboration with state regulators (DPE, DELWP, EPA)
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and biodiversity calculator tools
- Experience in renewables or transmission infrastructure
