Strategic Leader Investment Governance

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead our investment governance function, driving excellence and integrity in all aspects of investment management.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a General Manager Investment Governance and Research. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of our investment function, revitalising a high-performing team, enhancing governance frameworks, and steering the strategic direction of our managed account menus and product offerings.

You will drive thought leadership and actionable insights across internal and external audiences, represent our organisation in the market as a credible and respected investment voice, evaluate and optimise the managed accounts menu and investment product suite, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure investment offerings align with strategic objectives.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven track record in investment management, research, and governance, with deep expertise in managed accounts and investment product structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, revitalise established teams, and translate strategic insights into action.
  • Strong understanding of investment governance and regulatory compliance (APRA, ASIC) within platform or superannuation environments.
  • Strategic leadership with a history of elevating organisational reputation through thought leadership and market engagement.
  • Advanced skills in portfolio risk analysis, macroeconomic scenario planning, and maintaining investor confidence during market shifts.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience representing organisations in external forums and media.
