Job Title: Evaluation Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Evaluation Officer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in program evaluation, research and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide monitoring and evaluation support to major initiatives in the field of health promotion.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate, design, implement and translate evaluation and monitoring activities.
  • Use mixed methodologies and co-design approaches to assess effectiveness and impact, contribute to research outputs, and support knowledge translation resources and publications.
  • Develop and implement formal evaluation plans for national health promotion campaigns and funded projects.
  • Monitor campaign progress through analytics, program meetings and stakeholder feedback.
  • Design, collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Prepare ethics applications, manage participant recruitment and contribute to reports, publications and presentations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including community organisations and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, to support evaluation activities.
  • Represent the organisation at project meetings, conferences and seminars.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, medicine or related discipline.
  • Completed a relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent experience in program evaluation, research or technical expertise.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating health promotion programs and/or education campaigns.
  • Strong experience in writing publications, conference papers, technical reports or professional contributions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative research data.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to negotiate successful outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including analytical report writing and presenting to diverse audiences.
