Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistive Technology Professional.

  • This role involves working in diverse settings, assessing individuals needs, and prescribing assistive technology solutions to support people towards their goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy or physiotherapy, with experience in prescribing assistive technology and/or home modifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing individuals needs and prescribing assistive technology solutions.
  • Collaborating with participants, their supports, and assistive technology suppliers to ensure that recommended solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Providing capacity building support for participants to embed assistive technology and home modifications into their daily routines and habits.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team of allied health professionals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or physiotherapy.
  • General AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience prescribing assistive technology and/or home modifications.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
