Job Role

The Cyber Security Lead plays a critical role in safeguarding our digital environment by identifying and mitigating threats, managing risks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and collaborating across teams to enhance the overall security posture.

Key responsibilities include leading and coordinating cyber security operational activities, identifying and mitigating threats, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

  • Lead and coordinate cyber security operational activities to improve resilience against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and mitigate threats, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance the organisation's security posture.

Suitable candidates will possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as extensive experience in cyber security and relevant certifications. They will also have currency of knowledge and familiarity with information security and cyber security principles.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Proficient in security operations, incident response, SIEM tools, cloud security, and government security frameworks (e.g. NSW CSP, ISM) and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, ISMS).
  • Extensive experience in cyber security with hands-on threat management, risk analysis, and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA highly desirable).
