Job Title: Cyber Security Lead

The role of Cyber Security Lead is to drive and coordinate the organization's cyber security strategy, ensuring Treasury's resilience against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

This position will lead threat identification and mitigation efforts, manage risks, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and foster collaboration across teams to enhance the overall security posture.

Building robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial, as is effective communication and advocacy for improved outcomes through team collaboration and agency partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and coordinate the cyber security strategy to improve Treasury's resilience against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead threat identification and mitigation efforts, manage risks, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate across teams to enhance the overall security posture.
  • Build robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Proficient in security operations, incident response, SIEM tools, cloud security, and government security frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in cyber security with hands-on experience in threat management, risk analysis, and relevant qualifications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Currency of knowledge and familiarity with information security and/or cyber security principles and concepts.
