We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team at Epworth Eastern Hospital in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to further diversify their career by working in a specialized area, providing clinical, operational, and quality pharmacy services to various specialties.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to upskill by working in various areas of pharmacy practice, including clinical pharmacy, medication management, patient education, and more.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct medication chart reviews and reconciliation
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays, day patients, and discharges
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff, and associated employees
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and the proper use of medicines
- Participate in weekend and public holiday rosters
Requirements:
- A degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
- Registration as a Pharmacist with the relevant authority
- Current First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
