Responsibilities
  • Providing support to participants with a range of personal and social issues, as well as addressing direct barriers to employment
  • Working collaboratively within a team environment to foster a culture aligned with our organization's mission and values
  • Developing individualized training and personal development plans for participants to enhance their opportunities for training completion and access to employment
  • Facilitating the provision of personal development activities, as determined by individual plans, to develop vocational and employability skills and empower participants
  • Liaising with partner organizations and local employers to maximize employment and training outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including case notes, report writing, and program data collection, as required by our organization and funding bodies
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or equivalent experience within Community Services, Employment Services, Training, or a similar sector
  • Understanding of the labor market and the challenges faced by participants when planning to enter or return to the workforce, including barriers to education, training, and employment
  • Sense of resilience and empathy to work with participants experiencing complex barriers
  • Experience in facilitating work skills sessions and small group activities, as well as workshops
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with others, including RTOs, local employers, and community groups
  • Strong IT and administration skills, with experience recording case notes and utilizing MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and TEAMS
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and prioritization skills
