Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Capricornia District Office team. You will work as part of the District Coordination team where you will be tasked to analyse, review and provide advice relating to the management and availability of officers allocated to the District work units enabling the effective delivery of demand management rostering. Capricornia District Office management and administration team work together in an inclusive and dynamic working environment.

Your role is an integral part of the administration leadership team providing leadership, advice and guidance on a District level to all ranks to ensure all aspects of workforce planning, developing best operational capability and effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with District / Region Management and Corporate areas to forecast workforce resource requirements to meet demand and community needs.
  • Overview the development, delivery and coordination of timely and accurate rosters in line with operational demand and community requirements, internal corporate commitments and all industrial obligations.
  • Implement administrative policy and procedures relating to unplanned absence data and attendance rates, leave management, establishment management, and employee entitlements to enable fully informed management decisions.
  • Coordinate and perform monthly audits and reviews as part of the rostering cycle to identify, develop, and implement measures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement initiatives specific to rostering and leave management within the District/Region.
  • Coordinate, in consultation with District / Region Management and Corporate Support, improved rostering capability through training, skills gap analysis and identifying future staff skill requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to rostering staff by determining priorities and responding to and resolving resourcing challenges.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders including Officers in Charge, members of corporate areas supporting the District / Region, to ensure effective working relationships.
