About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Pharmacy Operations Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care and be part of a dynamic healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the outpatient dispensary, working collaboratively with pharmacist managers to ensure smooth service delivery;
  • Supervise, support, and assist operational pharmacy technicians in performing their duties, providing constructive feedback and coaching for improvement;
  • Monitor team member performance, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring mandatory competency and professional development reviews are completed on time;
  • Support the orientation, training, and development of new pharmacy technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team;
  • Coordinate sustainable quality improvements processes to optimize operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with Infection Control policies and procedures at all times;
  • Ensure regular stock level checks are performed in the dispensary, supporting expiry date checking procedures, and maintaining pharmaceutical stock storage arrangements that promote a safe working environment;
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Certificate III or IV in Pharmacy Technology, preferably with experience in hospital pharmacy settings;
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with a proven track record of effective team management and supervision;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with inter-professional teams and stakeholders;
  • Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to adapt to new technology and systems;
  • Willingness to work under the direction or supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to legislative requirements and Pharmacy Board of Australia Guidelines;
  • Purchasing and procurement experience, with a solid understanding of inventory management and control;
  • Victorian Certificate of Education with a mathematics subject, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and service development;
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education, with a strong focus on maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice and related areas;
