Job Opportunity

A highly motivated and experienced golf course manager is required to lead the management and maintenance of a championship 18-hole golf course. Located in one of Australia's premier wine and tourism regions, the region has a proud history and a growing membership base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the golf course maintenance team.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all turf management, irrigation, and maintenance programs.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality playing surfaces to meet member and guest expectations.
  • Manage operational requirements for course maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide agronomic advice and input into golf course improvement projects and long-term planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • A recognized qualification in turf management (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within golf course management.
  • Strong agronomic knowledge and practical experience in managing cool season and warm season turfgrasses.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of irrigation systems and golf course machinery maintenance.
  • A current ChemCert accreditation and driver's licence.
