About the Role

Richmond Fellowship Queensland is seeking a skilled Recovery Support Worker to join our team. As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based and recovery-oriented support to individuals at risk of homelessness, discharged from acute mental health wards, and/or supported by community mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in achieving their identified goals and aspirations
  • Provide support with day-to-day tasks and activities
  • Develop professional working relationships with stakeholders to achieve best possible outcomes for clients
  • Work as part of a wider team, with your own client caseload and on-the-job supervision

Requirements
  • A degree in a human services-related field, with at least one year of relevant experience, or less formal qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered, roadworthy, and insured vehicle
  • Ability to undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance
