Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Support Worker to join our team at Richmond Fellowship Queensland. As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based and recovery-oriented support to individuals at risk of homelessness, discharged from acute mental health wards, and/or supported by community mental health services.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in achieving their identified goals and aspirations, provide support with day-to-day tasks and activities, and develop professional working relationships with stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to clients to help them achieve their recovery goals
- Assist clients with daily tasks and activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and personal care
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support and services
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized recovery plans
- A degree in a human services-related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with mental illness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and access to a registered, roadworthy, and insured vehicle
