About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Contract Review Specialist to join our Australia specialist Contract Review team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will assist our Corporate Counsel with reviewing tender documents and contracts, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and mitigating potential legal risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review consultancy agreements and identify key clauses for negotiation
  • Liaise with operations to negotiate key clauses
  • Deal with general contract queries from operations
  • Assist Corporate Counsel with claims and disputes
  • Implement process improvements to ensure an efficient and effective contract review function
Requirements
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail when reviewing and assisting with legal documents
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work in a close team environment with a warm and friendly approach
  • Prior law firm, in-house experience, or experience in a contract management or review role highly regarded
