Senior Planning Specialist

The Senior Planning Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality assessment advice to ensure projects meet statutory obligations, government policy requirements, and strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include assessing the merits of planning proposals, recommending alternate planning pathways, producing high-quality work, and providing strategic planning and formal advice to address emerging urban issues.
The role involves managing competing interests, maintaining project integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental assessment and planning legislation
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and project management
- Relevant degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant discipline
