We are seeking a Senior Planning Specialist to join our team in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be passionate about shaping the built environment and communities of Western Sydney for a better future.
This is a unique opportunity to lead planning for significant, uniquely Western Sydney projects across diverse development sectors. You will develop your voice for getting planning right in Western Sydney and build new and existing relationships with key clients in Western Sydney.
The RoleAs a Senior Planning Specialist, you will provide expert services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process, and management. You will also develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice, crafting fee proposals tailored to client needs, and effectively managing expectations.
You will provide advanced statutory and strategic planning advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, and the approval process and management. Additionally, you will manage individual and team revenue targets through strong service delivery and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process, and management.
- Develop client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice, crafting fee proposals tailored to client needs, and effectively managing expectations.
- Provide advanced statutory and strategic planning advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, and the approval process and management.
- Manage individual and team revenue targets through strong service delivery and project management.
- Lead the coordination and execution of business development opportunities (both internal and external).
To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related discipline and bring a minimum of 8 years' experience in a consultancy environment or Planning agencies. You will have a proven ability to manage and develop team members and a proven track record of identifying opportunities and securing new business.
Advanced understanding of statutory planning frameworks, controls, and processes is essential, as well as excellent multitasking and prioritization skills. You will excel in a collaborative and dynamic work environment and be committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, flexibility, and diversity.
