Job Opportunity: Maintenance Planning Specialist

As a Maintenance Planning Specialist, you will play a vital role in the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for Defence assets. This position requires close collaboration with the Senior Regional Planner and other teams to ensure smooth execution of work plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and managing approved maintenance programs using the Commonwealth SAP S4/HANA System.
  • Conducting maintenance work planning in line with fleet maintenance planning directions issued by the Senior Regional Planner.
  • Identifying maintenance tasks, parts, and resources required for successful project delivery.
  • Sourcing parts via internal and external means to meet operational needs.
  • Providing regular feedback to personnel on the progress of scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Liaising with the Scheduling team to effectively plan maintenance around Commonwealth priorities and planned completion dates.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in maintenance planning or scheduling.
  • A trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or similar).
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems – or a willingness to learn.
