Senior Operations Manager Job Description

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational activities including Supply Chain, Production, Aftermarket, and Compliance. The Senior Operations Manager ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient services aligned with Moog's mission and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a skilled, motivated workforce across Supply Chain and Production at Moog, fostering a quality-first mindset and a success-oriented team culture.
  • Manage and continuously improve the Operations functions including Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Logistics.
  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials to customer delivery, including supplier qualifications and management of service providers.
  • Develop and execute strategic short- and long-term plans for operational growth and efficiency.
  • Manage financial aspects of manufacturing processes, including capital investments aligned with corporate growth objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce waste, boost service levels, and improve financial performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or master's in operations and/or Supply Chain (Required)
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification (If in process, will also be considered)
  • Engineering Degree (Desirable)

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' work experience, ideally in a multi-national organization, and in a heavily regulated manufacturing company, Defence or Automotive. They will possess a proven ability to balance strategic vision and pragmatic operations, as well as demonstrated experience in a senior leadership position, ideally in a similar operating environment.

They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, capable of developing multiple implementation options to address issues, and strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interface effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing.
