Nurse Unit Manager Associate

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will play a key role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in managing the operational resources of the unit, while also providing mentoring and leadership to the nursing profession in the Emergency department.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct nursing staff to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in accordance with the values and healthcare philosophy of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
- Support the Nurse Unit Manager with the daily running of the ward, including bed management, staff management, and attending relevant meetings.
- Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care.
- Implement and support organisational change as directed by the Nurse Unit Manager.
- Ensure incidents are accurately documented and investigated at the time of the incident, and the Nurse Unit Manager is informed.
- Degree in general nursing that meets the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current AHPRA practicing certificate.
- Experience in relevant area of clinical practice.
- Advanced clinical nursing skills.
- Leadership qualities with proven ability to direct, enthuse, and encourage a multidisciplinary team.
