Nurse Unit Manager Associate

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Knox Private Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating a learning culture, maintaining professional relationships with VMO partners, and providing clinical operational direction for the unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners
- Providing clinical operational direction for the unit
- Being accountable for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources
- Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Undertaking direct patient care as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- 3+ years acute surgical experience
- Demonstrated experience being in-charge of shifts
- Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
- Degree in a relevant specialty area
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role modelling behaviours
- Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases
