Restructuring Advisor

We're seeking a seasoned Restructuring Advisor to join our team, playing a key advisory role in corporate restructuring and insolvency engagements. As a member of our market-leading Melbourne team, you'll collaborate with leaders to implement proactive measures, aiming to turn the business around and retain value for stakeholders.

About The Role
  • Manage a portfolio of restructuring and insolvency matters, including managing formal and informal insolvency engagements, preparing cash flow forecasts, calculating employee entitlements, and overseeing supplier/customer accounts.
  • Lead complex investigations, including source and application of funds, forensic tracing exercises, voidable transactions, and insolvent trading reviews.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with external stakeholders, develop innovative solutions, and provide empathetic assistance to clients facing economic challenges.
  2. Prepare and review creditor reports, statutory reports, and independent business reviews, undertaking detailed financial analysis.
  3. Participate in business development activities, assisting Partners in preparing and pitching for new engagements.
Requirements
  • University degree in a related discipline, such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Strong accounting background with extensive experience in corporate insolvency/restructuring.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, providing coaching and training to team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
