HV Substation Designer

This role involves working as a Junior to Intermediate-level HV Electrical Design Engineer within a high-performing team that values quality engineering and supports technical development.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborating with senior engineers on HV projects ranging from 66kV to 500kV, including new substations, upgrades to existing sites, and renewable energy connections.
- Preparing detailed technical drawings, schematics, and engineering reports for primary substation design including layout, HV equipment specification, earthing, and busbar arrangements.
- Working closely with the team to ensure compliance with Australian standards, utility requirements, and network connection processes.
- Developing and maintaining strong knowledge of substation design principles, practices, and industry developments.
The ideal candidate will have experience in HV electrical design within a consultancy, utility, or EPC contractor environment and be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
Requirements:- 1-5 years of experience in HV electrical design.
- Exposure to primary substation design and ability to produce technical drawings and engineering reports.
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards and industry practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
