Lead Mental Health Specialist

The Expedited Specialist Pathway for consultant psychiatrists has been introduced in the UK, providing a streamlined process for skilled professionals to take on new roles.

  • A package of $300-$400 thousand p.a. plus relocation allowance is offered

About the Role

You will be joining a public mental health service that provides specialized care for individuals affected by mental health challenges.

  • An acute admission and treatment unit is dedicated to adult patients living with severe and complex mental illnesses
  • Inpatient and community-based programs support the delivery of care, including acute services, residential rehabilitation, crisis intervention, recovery-focused community treatment, and specialist perinatal mental health services

This role involves working in the inpatient psychiatric unit, where you will use your extensive experience to identify and manage a range of mental health issues, including psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and risk issues.

You will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating a compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management.
