Optimizing Underground Mining Operations

This role is ideal for a highly motivated and experienced production engineer who can lead the team to achieve safe and efficient extraction of gold from underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with site Environmental and Safety Standards during safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.
  • Develop and implement plans in line with short to medium term planning targets, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly production goals.
  • Manage the design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to minimize dilution and maximize recovery.
  • Guarantee business success by developing, implementing, and recording mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery.
  • Direct and lead all members of the production team and operational mining team, ensuring goal alignment through effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Possess a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or equivalent.
  • Hold a degree qualification in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Benefit from supervisory or management training and experience mentoring and developing a team of Mining Engineers.
  • Display solid underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold.
  • Hold a valid Driver's Licence.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software, such as Deswik.
