**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering and experience in supervisory or management roles. You will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of plans in line with short to medium term planning targets.

In this role, you will work closely with our production team to ensure that all mining aspects are met in compliance with site Environmental and Safety Standards.

You will be responsible for managing the design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to maintain minimal dilution and maximum recovery.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and can identify risks and threats to safely achieving targets.

If you have a strong understanding of end of month preparations and compliance reports, and can reconcile mined plan versus actual plan to identify improvement areas, then we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets.
  • Manage the design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to maintain minimal dilution and maximum recovery.
  • Ensure business success by developing, implementing, and recording mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery.
  • Reconcile mined plan versus actual plan to identify improvement areas.
  • Direct and lead all members of the production team and operational mining team and ensure goal unity through concise communication.
  • Actively identifying risks and threats to safely achieving targets and develop, establish and manage programs to ensure risk elimination/minimisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desired)
  • Completed a degree qualification in Mining Engineering (desired)
  • Supervisory or Management Training (desired)
  • Experience mentoring and developing a team of Mining Engineers
  • Solid underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold
  • Possess a valid Driver's Licence
  • With exposure to Microsoft Office and mining software, Deswik would be highly regarded
